Hidden Pearl Labradors

In 2004 we are breeding our fourth generation of a line of labs founded by our imported British female Pearl Keeto, who lent her name to the farm but is better known as 'Gemma'.

The breeding philosophy employed has been one of simply retaining females showing the finest conformation and intelligence from foregoing litters and selecting from all over the US, males with outstanding show credentials and temperaments. In England, no Labrador can become a bench show champion unless it has a working certificate also, which gives us our breeding aim, which is to provide beautiful, show-quality dogs with intelligence and instinct for working too. Invariably, they have gone out and become wonderful companions for those they live with. They have a love of water, and retrieve superbly.

At Hidden Pearl Farm we maintain full protective protocols, not only of annual vaccinations
and shots, but also for breeding with full testing carried out by both the OFA as well as CERF
eye examinations.

As defined by AKC standards, our dogs typically have thick, short coats and otter tails. Their
heads are clean-cut; substantial but not too blocky, long ears and their eyes consistently kind, friendly, expressing good character and intelligence.

While some division exists in Labrador breeding (oversimplified as tall vs. short), we have trodden a traditional path, aiming to produce a more stocky, athletic body within the defined range of a height up to 24.5" at the withers. Adults weights range between 65 and 85 pounds.

Puppies are not available at all times. Great care is taken to ensure females are not only physically able to breed but also sufficiently emotionally prepared. We do have a waiting list and interested parties are welcome to contact us to be informed when puppies will become available.

Our stud dog, Hidden Pearl Dover, is the exciting offspring of Beechcroft's Perfect Charmer. His dam, Hidden Pearl Reba, was also sired from an extremely strong show line going directly back to English Champion Sandylands Mark, Sandylands My Rainbeau, and International Champion Sandylands Rip Van Winkle. Hidden Pearl Dover's line also includes inductees of the Labradors Hall of Fame.

We are very excited and full of anticipation to see his early progeny develop.
